About
Scarlet Jaxen is a Registered Social Worker and Certified Narcissistic Abuse Treatment Clinician in the province of British Columbia. After 20 years of studying relational power dynamics, controlling behavior, and the ways people resist domination, she started Ash + Willow Therapy— a counselling practice that exclusively serves people impacted by narcissistic abuse, coercive control & and relational trauma.
Abuse is not conflict. So we can’t treat it the same way.
Social work as a profession is dedicated to tackling oppression through research, social policy development, therapy and community capacity building. Scarlet completed both her undergraduate and graduate degree at the University of Calgary— consistently ranked among the top 15 schools across North America for its research productivity.
She is a Certified Narcissistic Abuse Treatment Clinician trained by international expert Dr. Ramani Durvasula and has completed multiple trainings by Dr. Allan Wade, cofounder of the Centre for Response Based Practice and expert witness in cases of violence within provincial and federal court.
We can hold people to the depth we’ve reached in ourselves.
Scarlet isn’t only an academic and professional— she grew up within the context of domestic violence and survived chronic childhood sexualized violence.
